Spring Sweep
The SpringSweep Nozzle is the first height adjustable shop vacuum floor cleaning attachment. The SpringSweep nozzle is unique in that it solves the problems of traditional vacuum floor brushes and other floor nozzles as it floats over debris instead of pushing it around and can easily lower down to the floor to increase suction when needed.
The problem with brushes is that they tend to push the dirt around instead of sucking it up and they are set at a fixed height above the ground, which reduces suction power. The problem with standard rectangular nozzles is that they make it difficult to cover large areas as they scrape and stick to the floor.
I designed this because I have spent alot of time at the shop cleaning up messes on the floor only to strongly desire something that actually sucked the debris up instead of pushing it around (looking at reviews on Homedepot and Amazon show I am not alone with this gripe). Sucking up heavier items with the floor brush was not an option and it was hard to push as the bristles rubbed against the ground. I think I have found something that solves the issues with current marketplace products.
Prototypes were printed on personal desktop 3d printer. To print the 14" nozzle, the limited print bed size required it to be printed in 3 pieces which were then glued together.
