Experienced Mechanical R&D/Process engineer with a demonstrated history of working in the medical device industry. Skilled in numerous manufacturing areas including CNC/EDM machining, automated machines, laser/ultrasonic welding, injection molding, 3d printing and device assembly. Experience with numerous product and process qualification projects using IQ, OQ, PQ, and PPQ, as well as product and fixture CAD design work using Solidworks. Has demonstrated the ability to manage large projects as well as lead and mentor multiple engineers and interns. Enjoys taking a hand-on approach to problems as well as moving through the troubleshooting process to solve technical challenges. I possess a deep-rooted interest in acquiring new skills and knowledge as well as learning about about engineering related developments, such as new technologies, processes or materials. I enjoy thinking of innovative solutions to problems as evidenced by numerous household inventions created on the side, via my personal desktop 3d printer, CNC machining and other jerry rigging methods.
